Lindsay is the CSO and Founding Partner of DraughtLab Sensory Software where she works with food and beverage companies to apply tasting data to inform Product Development and Quality Control. Along with her partners, she developed the DraughtLab Rapid Quality Control process that has gained recognition for making Sensory Analysis approachable and valuable for businesses of all sizes.

Widely regarded as an expert and leader in the field of Sensory Science, Lindsay got her start at New Belgium Brewing Company managing the multi-site world-class Sensory and Consumer Research program. She also served as the Chair of the American Society of Brewing Chemists Sensory Committee where she led a team of experts in publishing new Sensory evaluation techniques, many of which have gained industry-wide recognition.

She holds a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of New Mexico, where she graduated cum laude as a Scholar Athlete, and a Masters degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of California, Davis. While at UC Davis, she studied under Dr. Charles Bamforth and published some of the first works on gluten-free beer production. She continues her involvement in academia by sitting as a guest lecturer at multiple universities and is a peer reviewer and technical editor.

In 2016, she published the Beer Flavor Map; this tool was eagerly adopted by the industry as an update to beer flavor terminology and is now widely utilized by brewing professionals, judges and consumers alike. DraughtLab has since published multiple industry-standard lexicons and continues to expand their product and process throughout the food and beverage industry.

She believes flavor is the most important factor in determining food and beverage quality and has set her sights on continuing to develop tools focused on helping businesses use their senses to inform everyday production decisions.
